What is Astro’s Daydream about?
Astro’s Daydreams. Our title is very misleading. Our title should be Penny’s Daydreams. Astro is not real. Astro is just stuffed animal loved by a little girl named Penny.
Astro’s adventures only happen in Penny’s head. Penny lives to the left of an abandoned Drive in movie theater. A field scattered with broken bottles and old trash. Penny’s favorite hide out, other than her best friend Cindy’s treehouse, is an old abandoned ice cream truck in the middle of that field. Penny often sits in the drivers seat of that truck and daydreams about her Astro doll she lost just weeks before.
Through the woods, behind the field to the right, is the majestic, always busy, Saturdays Retro Amusement Park. Saturdays is fun for everyone in Towne.
Towne being the city where Cindy and Penny live. Through the woods behind Penny’s house, left of the park, is a trail straight to Cindy’s backyard and treehouse. Though she has to pass through an old cemetery that never bothers Penny. Penny spends every Saturday morning with Cindy watching cartoons and hanging out in that treehouse. Penny got her Astro doll from SRAP in March and had him six months before that dreadful Saturday evening she realized he wasn’t with her as she left the park. Penny often imagines what adventures Astro is having while he tries to get back home. She thinks of him paling around with Dreamy the clown, host of the park. Our first series planned is called “Portal Stories”. Astro does not exist. Much like Winnie the Pooh’s adventures only happen in Christopher Robins head.
